A return to something more like August……

 

Mon 30th High starts to build from the west with trough affecting eastern England in moderate steadily reducing northerlies

Local Area (A): A bright start with blue thermal triggering around midday and slowly developing to very shallow cu at 4,5k’

Other Areas: Area B & F similar. Areas C, D & E stratus forming at 3k’ after a bright start. Winds progressively stronger to the east.

Sea Breeze: Nil

Rain: Nil

Overdevelopment: -

Winds: 360/10 1k’ and 010/15 5k’ midday

Remarks: Excellent for training and short cross-country in the right area. Fairly cool

Tues 1st High becomes established over UK but under influence of weak warm front in very light breezes

Local Area (A): Feeble blue thermal to 3k’ beneath increasingly heavy high cover

Other Areas: Similar

Sea Breeze: Nil

Rain: Nil

Overdevelopment: -

Winds: 090/5 1k’ and calm 5k’

Remarks: Excellent for training and fairly mild

Outlook: High remains over UK for rest of the week but with deep low just to the west – fairly bright and dry with lightish easterlies/southeasterlies but likely a lot of high cover throughout
